Three Digital Tools for Creating Original Graphics

Creating original content is the best way to stand out online.

Creating original content is important if you want to stand out online. You do not have to be a graphic designer to accomplish this either. You just need to learn which app will be easiest for you and then go for it. If you don't know how to use these apps and want to learn, you can grab this self-paced Branding & Marketing You course from our website and you'll be well on your way. Creating original content is also the best way to brand yourself. We recommend only using corporate graphics in your business when you can “make it your own” by adding your face or text (sparingly, of course).

We try to source digital tools that are free or affordable BUT also impactful. If we encourage you to spend money, it is because we know it will be a great tool for your business!

Keep in mind - ALL technology is fluid. That means there are always updates and some apps find themselves in the digital graveyard, even those that seem popular. Crazy....but it happens. That's why we update our Digital Toolbox Guide every year.

Here are a few of our favorite apps when it comes to creating and editing graphics:

  1. InShot - it's more than just a photo/graphic editor (FOR SURE), but it is a great place for making collages, adding text to photos, and creating slideshows. Definitely worth upgrading to the pro version to remove their watermark and have access to all features.
  2. WordSwag - quick, easy way to create word graphics on the go using their images or your own. They offer a free 7-day trial then it's a monthly charge.
  3. Canva - the possibilities are endless with this one. We used to only recommend using it on a computer, but they have improved the app so much! Well worth upgrading to the pro version on this one. If you do, you definitely won't need Wordswag.

These are only a few of our recommended digital tools for creating graphics, collages, and editing images.
